Currency
National currency is Kyrgyz Som (KGS) totaling to 100 tyins. Notes are in of 1000, 500, 200, 100, 50, 20, 10, 5 and 1 som denominations, and 50, 10 and 1 tyin.  

Currency Exchange
Foreign currencies can be exchanged at banks and street exchange offices in Kyrgyzstan. The US Dollar and Euros are the most common currencies to change. 
 
Credit/Debit Cards and ATMs
You can use your credit cards in larger hotels in Bishkek and used at banks to take out cash from the counter. 
 
Traveller's Cheques
Travel cheques are not always accepted, but some banks in Bishkek accept them, with US Dollars as probably the best option; commission charges can be relatively high. Cash is more recommended in this country.

Regularly from Monday to Friday 0930-1730.
