Horse riding 05Kyrgyzstan horse riding: Tour 05Destination: Kyrgyzstan Activity: Horse riding Duration: 12 days Places to visit: Bishkek City - Chon Kemin Valley - Tamga Village - Chong Kyzyl Suu - Karatakia Pass- Kichi Kyzyl Suu Gorge - Jukutshak Gorge - Ashu-Kashka Suu Gorge - Lake Kashka-Suu - Kumtor River - Arabel Suu - Chokoli Lakes - Bishkek City Kyrgyzstan is criss - crossed by the mountain ridges and it is not easy to survive here without a horse that is why the best possession for nomad was a horse. This horse riding tour includes visiting of Issyk Kul Lake and horse back riding in our heavenly mountains. For many hours you will ride a horse in places with enchantingly beautiful wild nature. During this adventure you will feel complete freedom. Tour summary: Day 1: Bishkek - Chon Kemin valley You will be met by your guide in the International Airport of Manas and accompanied to Bishkek City (30 min. drive). In Bishkek, after having breakfast, the entire day will be devoted to a guided Bishkek City Tour, including lunch. During this sightseeing tour we will visit the central Ala-Too Square, Oak Park (Duboviy Park), Victory Square (Pobeda Square), the History Museum, National Concert hall and the monument of Manas (legendary hero of the Kyrgyz people), Oriental Bazaar, Art Gallery and many other places that provoke your interest. Transfer to Chon Kemin valley to the Guesthouse of Kalmak-Ashuu, where you also will spend overnight. On the way, we will visit the Burana Tower -minaret of the 11 century and its attached Balbans (stone warriors) open air museum. Your dinner will be served at 7 pm. Day 2: Chon Kemin valley - Tamga 7 o'clock breakfast. Afterwards, you will start your (380 km, 6h) trip to Tamga Village by car. This day we will drive along the southern shore of the celestial Issyk-Kul Lake (1608m.above sea level), which is second largest mountain lake in the world. This Lake is also called "the pearl of Tien - Shan Mountains". Dinner is served in the Tamga Guesthouse, where you will also spend the night. Day 3: Tamga - Chong Kyzyl Suu After a strengthening breakfast we will start our (70 km.) journey to the exciting Chong Kyzyl Suu Valley by car. Next, you will start your (5hours) horseback riding tour along the Terskey mountain Range. En route, you will see red sandstone mountains in different fantastic shapes, just before we visit Jeli Suu thermal mineral springs, where you will have the possibility to take a bath in hot springs water. Then, 1 hour horseback riding tour to the Chong Kyzyl Suu Physical and Geographical Station. Your dinner and overnight stay will be in the yurt camp. A yurta is an original nomad's house, collapsible dwelling that is built without nails. It that is made of a wooden skeleton that is covered by felt. Day 4: Chong Kyzyl Suu - pass Karatakia - gorge Kitchi Kyzyl Suu You will have a horseback riding just after breakfast to the gorge of Karatakia over the Karatakia Pass. You will enjoy the surrounding nature and take a fortifying lunch. After picnic you will have horseback riding down the Valley of Kitshi Kyzyl Suu (6h). This is a place where it will be possible to try Kyrgyz national drink (fermented mare's milk) - Kumis. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Overnight is in tents. Day 5: Kitchi Kyzyl Suu - Gorge Jukutchak You will start horse riding to (3937m above sea level) Kashka-Tor pass after breakfast. Later on, you will ride a horse through the striking red ravine. En route we will visit the red cave that is called "500 rams". It is said that in olden times the nomads used this cave for their cattle. But some time later the part of the cave was destroyed by the earthquake. But even now it is possible to imagine the original size of this cave for 500 rams. There is also a mountain cascade. The waterfall is situated not far from hot springs (40 degrees Celsius) that are also possible to visit if you wish. You will have your lunch nearby cascade. We will continue our way to Jukutchak valley after having a rest. At 8 p.m. dinner is served. Night is in tents. Day 6: Gorge Jukutshak - gorge Ashu-Kashka Suu Breakfast will be served at 8 o'clock in the morning. After breakfast we will commence an ascent on horses to the (3636m above sea level) pass Ashu-Tor, on the way you will see a mountain waterfall and also you can take a bath in sauna. After lunch you will keep on (6h) your horse riding down the gorge of Ashu-Kashka Suu. Dinner will be served at 8 p.m. Overnight is in tents. Day 7: Ashu-Kashka Suu Gorge - Kashka-Suu Lake Your breakfast is at 8 o'clock. After packing your stuff you will have an ascent on the pass of Kashka - Suu (3891m.) on the horses. There you will have a lunch. Afterwards you will ride your horse for 6 hours to the Kashka - Suu Lake. This pure and sparkling lake finds its origin in a glacier. This magnificent mountain lake is situated at 3800 meters hight above sea level. At 7p.m. dinner is served. Overnight is in tents. Day 8: Lake Kashka-Suu - river Kumtor (3012m) You will begin horse riding to Kumtor River after delicious breakfast. We will ride over Ak Shirak Mountains, which even in a high summer are snow covered. The changeable weather of this area will surprise you. It can change from summer heat to winter snow falling within 20 minutes. This riding will take six hours. The most renowned place for gold diggers is Kumtor River. Even nowadays there are people who try to find out gold there. Our dinner will be served at 7 o'clock in the evening. This night you will spend near the Central Tien - Shan Observatory in the tent camp. Day 9: Kumtor - Arabel Suu We start our day with a breakfast at 8 o'clock. After breakfast you will ride your horse for 5 hours along Arabel Suu River. After having traditional lunch, we will keep on to the mountain lakes valley. There is the valley of 8 lakes. They are situated nearby each other and you could see all of them. It makes unforgettable feelings to walk there. Dinner and overnight are in tents near Arabel Suu River. Day 10: Arabel Suu - Chokoli Lakes (3006m) Your breakfast will be served at 8 o'clock in the morning. We will continue horseback riding to the Chokoli Lakes. On the way, with a bit of luck you can notice Marco Polo sheep and ibexes. You will also visit the glacier that is not far from the mountain lake. You will spend the night in tents nearby lake. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Day 11: Chokoli Lakes - Bishkek (by car) Pack your backpacks. The breakfast will be served at 8 o'clock. Transfer to Bishkek city by car. We will arrive in Bishkek in the Hotel*** at around 5 p.m., where you will have time for yourself until your pick up at 7 p.m. In a restaurant we will have farewell dinner. Day 12: Flight home At the time arranged beforehand according to the details of your flight your guide will collect you up from the hotel and accompany you to the International Airport of Manas. | ||
