Lakes

When people come to Kyrgyzstan they note the existence of the great amount of lakes, and these lakes seem to be an interesting factor of organizing a tour. Mainly, there are about 2 000 lakes in the country. Some of them can be seen from the point of view of going there, but some of them are impossible to be seen. As the country is located at the altitudes, most of the lakes are high-altitude and pure ones.

Issyk Kul is a lake at the height of 1600m above sea level. It seems to be very interesting from natural point of view as it never freezes. It is the main aim of new-comers of the country. The lake is the second high altitude one after Titicaca in South America. 

Then Kyrgyzstan tours can be done to Son Kul. It is the second largest lake of the country, at the height of 3016m above sea level. The lake is well-known for amazing pastures and stunning animals.

Chayr Kul - is a famous lake of the country, at the altitude of 3530m above sea level it has no outflows. At the same time the lake is completely fishless. The Merzbacher lakes are the mystery of the country that are seen to be an interesting and striking example of great route.

Sary Chelek - is a flooded valley and any Kyrgyzstan tours are impossible to be made there as the visit to National Park is prohibited.
