Son Kul lake

One of the stunning places in Kyrgyzstan is Son Kul Lake. For now it is the most visited lake after Issyk Kul. Being located at the altitude of 3016m above sea level it resembles the beauty of pastures and valleys and of course red sunsets and sunrises. A tour to the lake can be organized from June to September, the early part of it as during the other periods the territory is covered with snow and ice. There is also the legend which tells that there was a king with an aim to gather the most stunning and beautiful girls from the entire Tien Shan. They were suffering so bitterly that the mountains saved them by making an earthquake. The territory was flooded then.
