Kyrgyzstan trekking 02Country: Kyrgyzstan Activity: Trekking tour Time of the tour: 13 days Places to visit: Bishkek - Chon Kemin valley - Tamga - Barskoon gorge - Barskoon Pass - Jashil Kol Lake - Arabel Suu valley - Chokolu Lake - Zauka Pass - Dzhukuu gorge - Ashu Kashka Suu gorge - Ashu Tor Pass - Jukuchak gorge - Orto-Bulak Pas - Kichi Kyzyl Suu gorge - Chon Kyzyl Suu gorge - Jili Suu - Ak Sai Pass - Jeti Oguz gorge - Karakol town - Cholpon Ata - Bishkek city This tour includes the most outstanding things to see of Kyrgyzstan that greeting so many people. You will see celestial mountains, alpine lakes and ancient architecture. Also it is a great possibility to experience yourself as if you as a real nomad. For the duration of this overwhelming visit you will be able to see the most scenic parts of Kyrgyzstan! Day 1: Bishkek - Chon Kemin valley You will guide will meet at International Airport of Manas and accompany you to Bishkek City, the capital of this wonderful land (30 min. drive), where you will start the day with a breakfast. The entire day is dedicated to a guided Bishkek City Tour. The tour includes the visiting of the central Ala-Too Square, the History Museum, Oak Park, Pobeda Square (Victory Square), National philharmonic, Oriental Bazaar, Art Gallery and many other remarkable places. Lunch time. At 5 p.m., you will be transferred by car to the Chon Kemin valley, where you also will spend the night. Dinner will be at 7 p.m. Day 2: Chon Kemin valley - Tamga After breakfast we will have time for a photo session to capture all the loveliness and pecularities of Chon Kemin Valley. Once everything is ready for our leaving, we will go to the Tamga village with its military health resort, where Jurii Gagarin holidayed after his fist manned space flight. We will see the more deserted, but spectacular southern part of Issik-kul Lake (the second largest mountain lake in the world and the biggest lake in Kyrgyzstan). On the way visiting Talgat, a hunter with golden eagles (berkutchi). He will tell us about his birds. After it we can take some pictures of the eagles. Once we arrive in Tamga, a resort town on the shore of the lake, we walk in holy Manjili Ata sources. After arrival in Tamga village. Leisure time on the beach(30 min). Then beginning preparations for the trek. Housing in Askar home stay (1600m). Day 3: Tamga - Barskoon Pass (3754 m) - Jashil Kol Lake - Arabel Suu valley (5 hours) We are going today to one of the most picturesque valleys in the mountainous Terskey Ala Too, where is the highest cascade in Kyrgyzstan! After a hearty breakfast we will drive to Barskoon gorge. Here, we start our trekking. We have climb to Dunguromo pass (3100 m) after passing through which we find ourselves in a brilliant valley Dunguromo. A few kilometers down from the pass, we stop for the camping. Dinner will give us the chance to share with sensetions of the first day. Night is in tents at the elevation of 3820 m. a. s. l. Day 4: Arabel Suu valey - Chakalu Kol Lake (7 hours) Today we get up early around 7 o'clock in the morning. We have a vertical ascent to the Chokolu Lake through Zauka Pass. The landscape is relatively flat, from vegetation prevails fine grass and moss, the climate is close to the tundra climate. Coming closer to the lake we break our camp for the night. Night is in tents at the altitude of 3800 m. Day 5: Chokolu Lake - Zauka Pass (3720 m) - Dzhukuu gorge (7 h As soon as we finish with breakfast we start preparing all of our equipment and belongings, and then immersing it all on the horse, we will go further. We have to cross the Zauka pass (3720 m) and from this top you will see hall beauty of the Dzhukuu valley. After short photo session we will go down the gorge about 20 km and reach the foot of the Ashu Kashka Suu gorge where we break camp for the night. Dinner and overnight is in tents at the altitude of 2900 m. Day 6: Djukuu gorge - Ashu Kashka Suu gorge (7 hours) Similar to yesterday we will rise up early morning and will begin to put ourselves in order. After hearty meal we will go further looking for new sensations and feelings. We will go along slopes are covered with juniper and fir-tree woods. Juniper is a very unique tree for several reasons. First, it has special root system that helps to survive in extreme conditions. Second, trees higher than ten meters have twisted trunks which are protection system in opposition to wind. Third, during dry seasons it can drop own leaves for saving moisture and water on the ground around the tree. At the afternoon we will stop at the base of Ashu Tor Pass. We will set on our camp. Dinner and overnight in tents at the elevation of 2970 m. above sea level. Day 7: Ashu Kashka Suu gorge - Ashu Tor Pass (3638 m) - Jukuchak gorge (7 hours) Today we have a wonderful chance to take a bath in hot mineral waters which we all dreamed of for now 4 days of our trek. Early morning preparations of all of our gear and then we will hike up the canyon Ashu Kashka Suu. Approaching the base of the pass, we will make a short halt for lunch and then we will have to climb to the Ashu Tor Pass (3638 m). After the pass we get into the Dzhukuchak gorge where the warm mineral springs are. Dinner and overnight is in tents at the altitude of 2650 m. Day 8: Dzhukuchak gorge - Orto-Bulak Pass (2900 m) - Kichi-Kyzyl-Suu gorge (7 hours) Early on the morning after we all give ourselves in order, we will go towards the Kichi - Kyzyl Suu Valley. First we get the forestry territory of Issyk-Kul situated in the Dzhukuchak gorge. Further we have to mount to 2900 m pass Ortho - Bulak. Then we approach the Kichi Kyzyl Suu gorge where we break our camp for the night at the altitude of 2450 m. Dinner, sharing sensations, and the night in tents. Day 9: Kichi-Kyzyl-Suu gorge - Chon-Kyzyl-Suu gorge - Jili-Suu water warm springs After a excellent breakfast we get ready our things and put forward in the direction of the picturesque valley - Chon Kyzyl Suu. First we descend the Kichi-Kyzyl-Suu ravine through the place of forestry. Then we will go alongside the Djily Suu Mountains and lastly we get to Chon Kyzyl Suu gorge. Here we enter the area of Ak-Tash. Then we rise about three miles up to the warm mineral springs where we will again be able to take a warm bath and rest. Dinner and overnight staying is in tents at an altitude of 2500 m. Day 10: Chon-Kyzyl-Suu gorge - Ak Sai Pass (2805 m) - Jeti Oguz gorge (7 hours) As usual we get up early, give yourself up, have a breakfast and go towards the Jeti - Oguz gorge - one of the most popular places to visit among the guests who visited our country. First, we go down to the place of Ak - Tash, where we cross the river Kyzyl Suu (Red River). Then we begin the climb to the pass radial Kok - Dzhayyk. The path will get ahead of a small pine forest, which will impress you with its silence. This is the last day of our trekking! It seems as if the whole world looks at you. After the forest we will look at the Jeti Oguz gorge which certainly will impress you. After a couple of kilometers we reach the yurt camp Kok Dzhayyk where we stay for the night at the altitude of 2300 m. Dinner and overnight staying is in the yurts (nomadic habitations). Day 11: Jeti Oguz gorge - Karakol town Cholpon Ata - Bishkek city Our car will be waiting for us near the yurt camp. Afterwards we will go to Karakol town - administrative and cultural center of Issyk Kul region. During the city tour in Karakol we will visit old Dungan Muslim mosque and old Orthodox church. At soviet time it was named Prajevalsky in honor of the Great Russian explorer Nikolay Prajevalsky. Lunch is in Karakol. As soon as we terminate with eat we go ahead to Bishkek. Overnight is in the lodge of Asia Mountains. So this is the last day of our adventures in Terskey Mountains. Day 12: Bishkek Today you will have a free day to go for a walk in Bishkek city and to buy souvenirs to your relatives and friends. Optionally, for an extra price it is possible to have a drive to Ala Archa gorge and to walk there in the National Park. This place is situated 45 km from the capital and it is a favorite weekenders and just ordinary lovers of nature. In the evening is a farewell dinner and walking on the main Square Ala Too at night to watch our new fountains with colorful lights and classic music! Day 13: Bishkek You will be transfered by your guide in the morning at time arranged previously according to your flight details and accompanied you to Manas International Airport.
