Day 1: Bishkek - Burana - Issyk Kul northern shore
Unknown Silk Road Tour 2 welcomes you! On arrival at the Manas International Airport you will drive to Bishkek. It will take 30-minute from the airport. In the second part of day, you will have the city tour and visit the Pobeda Square (Victory Square), Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Central Ala-Too Square, Old Square, National Philharmonic and places of visit. In the second part of day, we will continue our tour to the famous Issyk Kul Lake. This wonderful lake will not leave anyone indifferent. In general, Issyk Kul lake is considered to be the second largest mountainous lake in the world with altitude 1608 m. above sea level. Locals call it "the pearl of Central Asia". In addition, you will visit Burana Tower dated back at 11th century minaret and an open air museum of Balbals or stone warriors. Overnight is in a hotel.
Day 2: Issyk Kul - Grigorievskoye - Semenovskoye - Karakol
We are happy to announce that you will drive to the wonderful gorges called Semenovskoye and Grigorievskoye. This is the best place for rest in national park. Here travelers will notice the great mountains covered with snow at the tops and grades grown by blue and green pine trees. In addition, you will see beautiful lakes and take photos on tours. In the second part of day we will travel to the northern shore of the lake and reach to Karakol city. Karakol will impress you by the Dungan mosque as well as old wooden Orthodox Church. Transfer to a guesthouse for rest.
Day 3: Karakol - Jeti Oguz - Issyk Kul southern shore - Bishkek
The next day of our tour will start by travelling to the Jeti Oguz gorge. It is famous for seven red rocks which made it to called as Seven Bulls. Near, you will see the Broken Heart Mountain. It is worth spending 20 minutes and capture panorama views on tours. Afterwards, we will drive to the remote Bokonbaeva village. Here visitors will meet a local eagle-hunter. You will be shown an eagle show and learn more about birds. The tour will be continued to the capital city of Kyrgyzstan - Bishkek. Night is in a hotel.
Day 4: Bishkek - Osh - Guliston - Khudjand
In the morning you will have flight to Osh city. While being in the Osh, we will cross the Tajik border. Meet the local guide and drive via Batken region. This area is famous for its apricot trees and unique flower as Aigul. The guide will drive you to Khujand city. You will see many lakes and drive over the Anzob pass with altitude 3 372 m. Khujand is the second largest city in Tajikistan, located on the Syr Darya River and the Fergana Valley. The population of this city is about 149,000. Khujand is the capital of the northernmost province of Tajikistan as Sughd. On arrival, you will visit the Cultural Palace of Khujand where Tajikistan's first president elected. Visit Central Mosque and learn more about its history. Overnight is in a hotel.
Day 5: Khudjand - Iskanderkul Lake
Today's destination is Iskanderkul lake, located at the altitude 2 255 m. a. s. l and enclosed by the famous Fann Mountains. The wonderful nature of green land with rich flora and fauna as well as wild mountain inhabitants will catch your attention. The sandy area of beaches and waterfall is worth seeing on tours. It is worth to be mentioned that Tajikistan takes the second place of the CIS countries for volume of water resources. Here you can see more than 1 000 rivers, 2 000 lakes and 8000 glaciers. Afterwards is transfer to a guesthouse for sleep.
Day 6: Iskanderkul - 7 lakes - Penjakent
Meet the tour of visiting Fan Mountains which is best for hiking areas. You will get acquainted with Seven Lakes or Marquzor Lakes. Don't miss to have a short hiking among 7 lakes. They are located at different altitudes. In addition, you will meet locals and learn more about their customs. We will travel to Penjakent, located on Khujand. This city was found in the 5th -8th centuries AD. Actually, Penjikent, in distant times was one of the most important cultural and crafts centers of Sogd and named the "Central Asian Pompeii". Travelers will see the ruler's palace, two temples, markets, rich dwelling houses decorated with numerous paintings, wooden and clay statues of ancient gods as well as the remains of dwelling houses and office buildings, the citadel with the palace, the house of craftsmen, and fire worshipers church. Rest is in a local guesthouse.
Day 7: Penjakent - Jartepo - Samarkand
In the morning, you will travel to the Uzbek border. Meet local guide and travel to Samarkand. It is the valley of the river Zerafshan as well as the second largest city of Uzbekistan. The city has the same age as Babylon or Rome. On arrival, you will have the city tour and visit the Registan square, Shakhi-Zindeh, Mausoleum Guri Emir and Bibi Khanum Mosque. Registan Square is ready to impress our visitors with three sacred Madrasahs, found in the 15-17th centuries. Shakhi-Zindeh has a rich complexes of mausoleums of 11th-15 centuries, which later became a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Bibi Khanum Mosque is a very beautiful structure was built by the order of Tamerlane, for his beloved wife. Transfer to hotel for rest.
Day 8: Samarkand city - Gijduvan - Bukhara
Today we will drive to Bukhara. On arrival, you will have stop at Gijduvan village and learn more about its private workshop. Gijduvan ceramics school is famous for its skills passed via generations. Today there live 6th generation of Narzullayevs family who are overvalued Gijduvan school ceramics for the world. Gijduvan School of ceramics is famous for its geometric pattern of green and blue colors. It is no doubt you will like it on tours. On arrival to Bukhara, night is in a hotel.
Day 9: Bukhara
Have the city tour and visit the 4th century - Citadel Ark, which was a palace for several dynasties of Bukhara Empire. Walk to the Samanids mausoleum and see the secrecy of past times of the 9th -10th century. The tour will be continued to Chashma Ayub or Job's well and Bolo-Hauz mosque where our dear travelers can see forty columns dedicated to Bukhara governor Abu-Fayud Khan. On the way, you will find souvenir shops and see madrasahs of Bukhara - Nodir Divan Begi of the Lyabi House Ensemble. In the end of day, you will visit the Poi Kalon complex as the famous architecture of Bukhara. It has three constructions built in the 12th - 16th centuries. They are Kalon minaret, Kalon mosque and Mir Arab Madrasah. Transfer to hotel for rest.
Day 10: Bukhara - Khiva
The next day of our tour will start by travelling to Khiva where you can find as 140 architectural monuments belonging to the Middle Ages. On arrival, you can see narrow streets, green parks and fabulous gardens, historical and architectural monuments of different times. The road will be passed by the famous Kizilkum desert where you can immerse into real beauty of Amu Darya river. It is worth saying that, it the deepest river in Central Asia, bent by the confluence of the Panj and Vakhsh rivers in Tajikistan and streams into the Aral Sea. When we arrive to Khiva, night is in a hotel.
Day 11: Khiva - Urgench - Tashkent
Today we will explore the oldest city of Uzbekistan in the inner city of Khiva - Ichan-Qala. You will notice strong walls belonging to the centuries of old sound buildings, palaces, mosques, Madrasahs, Mausoleums, Minarets, Caravan-Sarais and Bathhouses. Being in Ichan-Qala, visitors will see more than 400 traditional dwelling houses as well as 60 architectural monuments. In 1969, Ichan-Qala developed a historical and architectural conservation territory. In addition, you will see the Kunya-Ark fortress, built in 17th century and found by Muhammad Arang Khan. The next sites you will see on tours is Kalta Minor minaret and Tash Khouvli palace belonging to the Khorezm architectural craftsmanship of 1830s. In the evening, you will have flight to Tashkent. Transfer to hotel.
Day 12: Tashkent - Airport
