Day 1: Dushanbe - Hissor - Dushanbe
Your tour guide will meet you at the airport when you arrive to Dushanbe. This day is devoted to the city tour. It includes visiting Rudake Park, National library, White House, National state seal, and House of parliament. You will also have opportunity to visit National park and make a lot of interesting photos of Ministry of Inner Affairs and the biggest National Flag in the world of 165 m high pole, 30 m wide, 60 m long. Then after excursion in Central Museum (35 km) is drive to Hisor fortress (VII-XVII centuries). It used to be the residence of the delegate of the Emir of Bukhara. It is located on a high hill and has 1 m thick walls and loopholes for guns and cannons. A pool, a garden and a busy market square with a caravan sarai and shops used to be present here. On the tour you will observe two towers. Hisar site and monuments of "Madrasa I Kuhna" (16th -17tth centuries), mosque; the mausoleum of "Mahdumi Azam" (16th century) are the tour objects you will visit. By the end of excursion you will come back to Dushanbe. Night is in the hotel.
Day 2: Dushanbe - Iskanderkul Lake
This morning you will drive to Iskanderkul lake (2 255 m. a. s. l.). It is situated in the Fann Mountains. We are more than sure that you will be impressed by Central Asia. The drive through Anzob pass (3 372 m) offers incredible panoramic views. If you want, you can hike to see waterfall. There are more than 1 000 rivers, 2 000 lakes and 8000 glaciers in Tajikistan. And it takes second place among the CIS countries for volume of water resources. Overnight is in the guesthouse.
Day 3: Iskanderkul - Penjakent
Today is your second day in Fann Mountains. Fann mountains are also known as "Kuhistan" from Farsi means (Mountainous Country). There are more than 30 pure lakes of different size and shape in this area. Tourists really like visiting this region! You can have a wonderful hiking. The fauna and flora of this place is very rich. You will certainly enjoy your time! In the afternoon you will drive to Penjakent. Night is in a local guesthouse.
Day 4: Penjakent - Dushanbe
Penjakent city which means ("five villages") is located in Khujand area of Tajikistan in a spectacular Zeravshan valley. The city was founded in the 5th-8th centuries AD. It used to be one of important cultural and crafts centers of Sogd region and used to be called "Central Asian Pompeii". Just imagine it was a city with palace, temples, bazaars with vivid life. You would be impressed by this site at those times. However, nowadays during the tour you can only see the remains of buildings, church and other objects. Drive back to Dushanbe. Overnight is in the hotel.
Day 5: Dushanbe - Airport
In the morning is transfer to airport.
