Day 1: Dushanbe - Hissor - Dushanbe
You will be met at the airport and transferred to the capital of Tajikistan. Upon arrival you will have a guided city tour to learn the history of this country. You will explore the most prominent sights of the city like Rudake Park, National library, White House, National state seal, and House of parliament. In course of the tour you will see National park of it and take photos Ministry of Inner Affairs and National flag. The size of this flag will impress you by its size - 165 m high pole, 30 m wide, 60 m long, it is known as the biggest flag in the world. Later on you will visit the Central Museum and the Hissor fortress. This incredible sight existed in 7th -17th centuries that used to be a residence of the delegate of the Emir of Bukhara. You can visit it on the high hill with hardened wall 1m thick and holes for guns and cannons. During the tour you will be amazed by the view of inner side of this site. You will find there pool, green and alluring garden, on the square was busy and noisy market with a caravanserai. Nowadays you can witness two towers of the gates. In addition you will have an opportunity to explore the mosque of "Madrasa I Kuhna" dated back to 16th-17th centuries and the mausoleum of Mahdumi Azam" built in 16th century. Night you will spend in hotel.
Day 2: Dushanbe - Khoburubot - Kalai Khum
Today you will travel to the Kalai Khum the road to which will go through the Khoburubot Pass. This pass lays on the altitude of 3 252 meters that is well known as Western Pamir Tract. During the tour you will be able to enjoy the mesmerizing view of gorges in the terrain. Don't miss the chance to take a lot of vibrant photos. In addition you will meet a lot of local people that will show you their hospitality. Due to it you will see the respect for traditions and customs. Day 3: Kalai Khum - Khorog
Today you will travel to Khorog that is known as the one of the smallest city I n the world map. Upon arrival you will find it among celestial mountains on the merge of the 3 rivers Shokhdara river and Ghund river flow into Pyanj river. During the way you will be able to see Pamir people. They have a bit different appearance in comprising to Tajik. You will see that most of them have blonde hair, fair skin and blue eyes. Pamirs Mountains are the highest mountains in the world with human population after the Himalayas in Tibet. Because of the climate Pamir people have differences in their traditions and customs even among them. Night you will spend in the guesthouse.
Day 4: Khorog - Langar
In course of the tour you will travel to Langar village. You see this city in the very heart of Asia. During the tour you will notice that Pamirs are the area where you can witness high mountains covered with snow clear water and lakes and rivers, green valleys and golden desert. Many tourists who visited this impressive site call these mountains "the Roof of the World". You will see them on the altitude of 3,500 to 4,200 meters above sea level. Pamirs is one of the few places where Pamir people live with their ancient culture. Due to the high location many of them were isolated due to it they have different dialects or languages. In course of the travel you will have a break to explore Buddhist complex of 4th - 7th centuries that can be found above the Vrang village. In Langar we will have an excursion in Abreshim Kala known as a Silk Fortress. The night is in a home stay.
Day 5: Langar - Yashil Kul Lake - Bulunkul Lake - Murgab
Today your destinations are Yashil Kul and Bulunkul (Blue lakes). To see them you will have a drive to the Murghab district which is located on the altitude of 3 700 meters above sea level. You will be captivated by the color of water of Bulunkul due to the interaction of purple and blue in the sunlight. You can find a lot of fish in the lake. In addition you will have a chance to see interesting domestic animals that are known as yaks that resemble cow and sheep, usually used as a beast of burden apart from giving milk and meat products. You will drive through the Khargush pass that is lays on the elevation of 4 344 meters high. Overnight is in a guesthouse.
Day 6: Murgab - Khorog
In course of the tour you will have a drive via the famous M41 or Pamir Tract. This Pamir Highway is the highest mountainous road after Tibet. You will be impressed by the view of the road the elevation of which is more than 4 000 meters above sea level. Moreover you will pass the Koitezak pass that is the 4 271 meters high. During the tour you will be impressed to know here are living Turkestan rat, tiger-cat, grizzly bear, badger, stoat, fox, grey and red wolves, huge population of Marco Polo sheep, with all year round and a strong population of the endangered snow leopard. Night is in a guesthouse.
Day 7: Khorog - Kalai Khum
Today you will return to Kalai Khum on the same road that you had before. Due to the elevation of 6 000 meters above sea level only one road was possible to build. During the way you will be bewitched by the impressive you of picturesque and pristine nature. In addition you will learn a lot of ethnography, history and everyday life of mountain shelters and with this you can imagine how the history of humanity evolved. You will have a lot of stop to communicate with local people and find something new about their lifestyle. In addition you will see the houses are in both sides of the river in mountain valleys. During the night you will be in a home stay.
Day 8: Kalai Khum - Norak - Dushanbe
Today you will drive to the capital of Tajikistan. The road to which lays through the Afghanistan boarder where we saw a lot of thing. The highest point of the tour today is the Shubara pass with the altitude of 2 267 meters high. Many great explorers get inspiration from these mountains like Marco Polo, Hsuan Tsang, Mirza Muhammad Haidar. Nowadays you have great chance to see the whole country and explore its beauty culture and traditions. You will learn why many people call this site as high and mighty mountain system the ocean of white and blue mountains. Moreover you will have an opportunity to witness the Pyanj River and Norak water reservoir that is called Tajik Sea. Night is in the hotel.
