Day 1: Dushanbe
We are glad to see our dear travelers on Unknown Tajikistan Tour 6. Tajikistan tours will inspire everyone on tours! You will be met at the airport and travel to Dushanbe. The entire day is dedicated to a guided city tour. You will have an idea to visit Rudake Park, National library, White House, National state seal, and House of parliament then walk to the National park and see the Ministry of Inner Affairs. There is the biggest National Flag in the world of 165 m high pole, 30 m wide, 60 m long is located. In the second part of day we will visit the Central Museum and Gurminj Museum of traditional musical instruments. This day will end by visiting Asian bazar. Night is in a hotel.
Day 2: Dushanbe - Iskanderkul Lake
Today we will drive to the high Mountain lake - Iskanderkul (2 255 m. a. s. l.) located in the famous Fann Mountains. This excellent area is one of the best places of Central Asia. On arrival, you will go for a walk along it beaches. This is a wonderful place to have a rest. Then we will hike 40 minutes to see a waterfall. Tajikistan takes the second place among the CIS countries for volume of water resources since it has the highest water reserves of all Central Asian countries with more than 1 000 rivers, 2 000 lakes and 8000 glaciers. Night is in a homestay.
Day 3: Iskanderkul - Penjakent
In the morning we will drive to Penjakent. The city of Penjakent so called "five villages" is located in Khujand area of Tajikistan in an attractive Zeravshan river valley found in the 5th-8th centuries AD. Penjikent of that time was one of the most significant cultural and crafts centers of Sogd and called the"Central Asian Pompeii". It was a beautifully encouraged well-organized city with a ruler's palace, two temples, markets, rich dwelling houses ornamented with numerous paintings, wooden and clay statues of ancient gods. The wrecks of this ancient city were found only in the last century. The tourists can see the remnants of dwelling houses and office buildings, the citadel with the palace, the house of craftsmen, and fire worshipers church. Night is in a local hotel.
Day 4: Penjikent - Khujand
This tour will start by driving to Khujand city and visit Istaravshan and its mosque. Khujand is the second largest city of Tajikistana and can be found on the Syr Darya River at the mouth of the Fergana Valley. The population of the city is 149,000. It is worth noting that it is the capital of the northernmost province of Tajikistan called Sughd. In the afternoon you will have an opportunity to visit a Cultural Palace of Khujand where the first president of Tajikistan was chosen. Then you will see Central Mosque that is set in the middle of the city. Night is in a hotel.
Day 5: Khujand - Dushanbe
The last day of our tour will start by driving to Dushanbe over Anzob pass (3 372 m) and tunnel of Isticlol. The road is very attractive and you will have an opportunity to adore good-looking scenery of Tajik mountains during our short stops. Arrival to Dushanbe. Transfer to a hotel.
Day 6: Dushanbe - Airport
