Day 1: Ashgabat
Guide will meet and accompany you to Ashgabat. You will explore one of the most significant sights of the country like "Old Nisa". This wonderful sight was listed to UNESCO World Heritage since 2007. You will be impressed to see the famous capital of the Parthian Empire ruled between the III millennium BC - III millennium AD. Don't forget to explore a mosque and mausoleum of the late President of Turkmenistan in Gypjak. Night is in the hotel.
Day 2: Ashgabat - Darwaza - Ashgabat
In course of the tour you will travel to the one of the most famous sights of Tajikistan, the Darwaza. Before it you will have an excursion in the National Museum of History and Museum Carpet. The road to place tours to attraction are very popular take 240 km. You will be impressed by the fabulous view of this impressive sight of the Gas Crater that is known as Darwaza. On the way to it you will have a stop in the nomadic village Erbent where you will have an opportunity to see magnificent view of the gas crater. Transfer back to Ashgabat.
Day 3: Ashgabat - Mary - Gonurdepe
Today you will travel to 5th center of civilization that is known as Margush or Gonurdepe. This site is located north-east at 90 km from Mary city. You know this place as the Bronze Age civilization of Margush (meaning 'lowland') or from the Greek name of Margiana. This sight was found in early 1970s by Professor Viktor Sarianidi. He was the leader of Margiana Archaeological Expedition. This place was oasis before it became dried desert. Due to the climatic chances this ones prosperous city became desertion area that preserved underneath the desert soils. It will be interesting know that Margiana sites are related to those at Bactria, in present-day northern Afghanistan. Sarianidi evince that the Bactria- Margiana complex used to be major center of ancient civilization. Moreover this incredible sight is the birthplace of Zoroastrianism. Later on you will visit the National History and Ethnology Museum. Night is in the hotel.
Day 4: Mary - Merv - Ashgabat
Today you will drive to the Ancient Merv hat was located on the path of the Great Silk Road. Because of this reason this city used to be one of the largest and biggest cities of the ancient world. It was lined as important as one of the capitals of Islam like Baghdad, Cairo and Damascus. In addition you will learn the history of such prominent sites as Gyz Gala, Erk Gala, Soltan Gala, SoltanSanjar Mausoleum, IbnZeid Mausoleum. We will continue drive to Mary city. When you reach to Mary city we will drive to Ashgabat city. Night is in the city.
Day 5: Ashgabat
In course of the tour you will have a drive to the horse farm. Here you will be able to witness the pride of Turkmen people known as Ahalteke horses. Here you will have a master class of horse riding. Later on you will explore the memorial complex and the famous Russian market. While visiting the market you will be mesmerized by its interesting design and a lot of fascinating good that can entertain you by the mix of Russian and Turkmen traditional ornaments. The night is in the hotel.
Day 6: Flight
The tour program in Turkmenistan is over. Flight to next destination.
