Day 1: Ashgabat
Welcome to Unknown Turkmenistan Tour 7. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to the hotel checking in. After it you will free time in the city. Night is in the hotel.
Day 2: Ashgabat - Turkmenbashy
In course of the Unknown Turkmenistan Tour 7 you will head on to the Nisa or so called the ancient settlement of Parthians. In tours to Turkmenistan you will know that when Parthian Empire was a world power, Old Nisa was called as Mitridatkert after the name of king Mitridate I (171-138 BC). He was the one who ordered to build it. Next destination of the tour is the Asia Minor where you will be able to investigate tombs of the ruling Arsacids dynasty members, the kings came to Nisa to have big festivals and arrange offering sacrifices. After exploring this prominent site you will drive to the Ertugrul Gazi mosque, which is known due to the ability to accommodate up to 5,000 people at the same time. This sight was built in Turkish style and the name of it was given in honor of Oguzkhan Ertogrul - Osman I, the father of Osman Empire first ruler. After it you will be transferred for the excursion in the carpet museum. Here you will be able to see the collection of carpets of different periods. Next sight of the travel is the famous Russian market. Then you will have a evening train to Turkmenbashy region. Overnight is at the train.
Day 3: Turkmenbashy - Yangykala
In the morning you will head on to the Yangykala fire fortress. This site will show you the breathtaking view which mesmerizes tourists in tours. You will enjoy the magnificent view of the rock of 60-100meters colored with pink, red and yellow colors. During the tour you will know that 5.5 million years ago this place appeared. You will be impressed to know that red cliffs wall you will witness were underwater limestone walls full of massive coral reefs from the pre-historical Parathetys Sea. Here you will soak in the peaceful atmosphere of the Yangykala. Later on you will be transferred to the Gozli Ata one of the most popular pilgrimage place. Here you will witness the traditions of Turkmen people. Night is in the hotel.
Day 4: Turkmenbashi - Ashgabat
Today you will have a morning drive to the Kamil Ata pilgrimage place. You will be impressed to see picturesque scenery of the nature where you can observe the huge stones. These stones are resemble the Giants. Drive back to the city for a train to the capital of Turkenistan. Overnight is in the train.
Day 5: Ashgabat
Upon arrival you will continue to explore the country in course of the tour. You will drive to the horse farm where you will see the pride of Turkmen people the famous breed of horses - beautiful Ahal-Teke horses. Nowadays there are more than 250 breeds of horses cultivated for many centuries. The Akhal-Teke breed is known to be the patriarch of horse-breeding. You will witness the breed that took more than three millennia to produce this breed. The exact date of the Ahalteke breed's first appearance is not known, but earliest mentions was found in the 4th-3rd century B.C. It is interesting to know that Bucephalus, the favorite horse of Alexander the Great, was Akhal-Teke. After it you will be transferred to the Gokdepe village where you will explore the Gokdepe fortress. This site is prominent due to being the place where the great battle between Russian army and Turkmen tribes took place. Drive back to the city to see the Cultural and entertainment center Alem. Night is in the hotel.
